Reaction Game

For Trondheim Maker Faire 2015 we made a reaction game where visitors could test their reaction time. The players press a button as quickly as the can when a screen flashes up. They do this three times before getting a score based on the average reaction time over the three tries.

This installation consists of one large diffused 100 pixel LED screen, a computer screen, a wooden stand with two buttons and a speaker to play sound effects. A Raspberry Pi handles the GUI on the computer screen, sound triggering as well as logging all player data for statistical purposes. The Raspberry Pi communicates with another PCB which handles the LED control, time measurements and button presses.
