Phone Controlled Garage Door

As you might know, Norwegian Creations has moved in at the new co-working space called DIGS in Trondheim this summer.

To get into the backyard of DIGS we need to open an electrical controlled garage door, but we only have one remote:/ This problem could of course be fixed with the solution shown in this sketch:

So I dug up my old Sony Ericsson T610 (My first phone actually).

I entered my “maker-mode” and Bernt-Johan joined me creating this quick solution.

The purpose of the system is to activate the remote control if (and only if) the caller has an approved ID. When you call the number the micro controller hangs up, so you don’t have to pay anything.. If the caller isn’t valid, the system won’t do anything!

So now do we have a convenient way to get into the backyard of DIGS :)
